タミヤの１／４８ Ｐ−４７Ｄは、最初にレザーバックが発売され、その後このバブルトップが発売された。
このキットはどうせ作るならと、レザーバックと同時に２００３年７月２１日に製作開始したが、キットの指定塗装を選んだので、
レザーバックのキットより先に完成した。
ただ一気に作り上げたのではなく、そのほかのキットなどとも平行作業だったので、かなり完成に時間を費やしてしまった。
完成は２００４年４月１８日である。
このキットは模型雑誌などで絶賛されたコクピットを含め、とてもすばらしい製品である。これ以上のＰ−４７のキットは出現しないだろう。
製作は細かいものを除いてほとんどのパーツを切り離し、パーテイングラインの処理から始めた。
Talking about TAMIYA 1/48 P-47-D, RAZORBACK was produced first then this
BUBBLETOP was issued.
I started making this kit on July 21st 2003 with the RAZORBACK kit if I
could even make it at all, however, this kit was done before the RAZORBACK
was completed since
I chose the kit which provided marking.
This project took much more time because I didn't build up the kit quickly
since I was also working on the completion of other kits.
It was completed on April 18th 2004.
This kit is a very good product with a nicely done cockpit which was praised
highly by Modeling Magazine. There will be no other quality P-47 kit produced
other than this one.
I clipped most of the kit parts, then I started sanding the parting lines.
製作の順序は基本的に組み立て説明図に従った。ただし細かい部分の塗装は、自分なりに変えてある。タミヤの塗装指示は結構ミスが多いし。
今回はカスタマイズしたジンクロの塗装はエアブラシを用いた。そのほうが製作が早くなると判断したのである。
今回はシートベルトの自作あるいは別売りパーツ使用をやめて、代わりにパイロット・フィギュアを乗せる事にした。
I basically followed the assembling sequence with the kit instruction sheet.
However, I changed a color for small parts with my own reference. TAMIYA
had made a
mistake identifing such colors many times.
I used an Air Brush for painting the customized Zinc Chromate color. I
made the decision since it was speedier than painting with a hand brush.
This time I didn't make my own after market Seat Belt and I used Pilot
Figure for alternate.
コクピットを組み付けた後に、機体の左右および主翼を接着して、まず胴体上面の防眩塗装をしてからそれをマスキングしてから機体全体の塗装実施。
After the cockpit was installed, I glued the right and left fuselage, then I painted it with anti -glare paint and applied over-all paint after masked and anti glare paint.
機体の塗装後にマスキングを剥がすのであるが、注意しないと塗装まで剥がれてしまったりする。またマスキングの隙間から塗料が滲み込んでいたりすると、
最悪である。今回は問題は無かった。その後デカール貼りを開始した。今回はインベンジョン・ストライプもキットのデカールを用いた。
Sometimes the paint peels off when removing themasking tape. Use care when
removing the masking tape. The worst problem that can occur is if the paint
flows into other areas due to bad masking. You must make sure that you
have masked the project properly prior to painting.
This time I had no problem. I started to apply decals after I took the
masking tape off.
I used kit decals and also even used invasion Stripes.
時間がかかったが、ようやく完成。また作りたくなるキットではある。
Finally, the model was completed, which actually took me quite some time. Even so, I want to continue to make more of this kit.
