特型駆逐艦は、Ⅰ型、改Ⅰ型とⅡ型それとⅢ型の４タイプに分類されている。
タミヤはⅢ型のキットとして、暁と響を発売しているが、暁は新造時の状態で出している。
この作品は、例のごとく武装やその他の艤装品をピット・ロードの別売りパーツから選択し、使用している。
現在は新しい艤装パーツが追加され、（価格も変更になった）販売されているので、ピット・ロードの製品が入手し難い人には、良かったと思う。
完成日時は不明だが、沖縄に転勤していた時の作品。
Toku class destroyer was classified four types such as
type I , type I plus , type II and type III.
TAMIYA produces Akatsuki and Hibiki kits as type III and Akatsuki is early type of III.
I used weapons and other equipment selected from Pit-Road
Japanese Ship Equipment WW II kit as usual.
Right now new parts added (price also changed) and released so good
news for a modelers who difficult to obtain Pit-Road J.S.E WW II kit.
I am not sure when this kit completed but it was completed in Okinawa where
we moved to.
