通常迷彩のドイツのファントムも製作意欲をかきたてられるが、手持のデカールがあったのと、今は亡き模型雑誌レプリカに塗装図が掲載されていたので、この塗装とした。
デカールには機体下面の部隊マークが無かったので、手描きとした。
最初ラッカーの白塗装の上に、水性の赤を塗ったが、数ヶ月たっても乾かず！やむなく水性塗料を剥がしてラッカーの赤を再塗装した。
それ以来水性のつやあり塗料は外部塗装には用いていない。
Although I desire to making the F-4F by normal German camouflage marking,
this time I choose this marking because i had both the
decal and painting guide on the REPLICA magazine which
is now closed business.
Under the fuselage marking was handpainted since decal sheet didn't have it.
At first, red acrylic paint painted over white lacquer.
However it didn't dry even few months later. So I striped down acrylic
paint and repaint red lacquer over white lacquer.
After that I don't use gross acrylic paint for external of my models.
