この作品は、マイクロ・スケール・デカールから発売されていた、アルミフォイル用接着剤を使用して、機体にアルミフォイルを貼ったものである。
同様の作品としては２作目で、１作目はこの接着剤を手に入れた１９８３年に出張先の米国で作ったモノグラムの１／４８のＰ−４７Ｄであった。
ちなみにそのＰ−４７Ｄは帰国する時にオフィスの端末の上にＡ−４Ｅとともに置いてきた。
1作目の経験を多少生かしたつもりだが、やはりけっこう貼るのは難しく、ある程度のコツや妥協を要した。
一番困るのはフォイルを貼った後の塗装、つまりマスキングを剥がす時であるのは想像していただけると思う。
This model applied aluminum foil using micro metal foil adhesive produced
by Micro Scale Decal.
This is the second project as Monogram P-47D the first project in 1983
at the U.S.A when I get this adhesive on my business trip.
Incidentally,I left my P-47D on my computer display in the office with
my monogram 1/48 A-4E.
It was difficult to apply aluminum foil to the model even with my experience, I
needed compromise and knack.
Most difficult thing was paint after applied,in a word peal off the masking
tapes you know.
