氷川丸の次に製作した、ウォーター・ライン（ＷＬ）第２作目の作品である。軍艦としては、当然第１号。
すでにピットロードの別売りパーツを持っていたので、迷わず使用した。
資料としては、定番のモデル・アートと、丸スペシャル 軍艦メカ ２ 日本の重巡を参考にした。
 艦首のカーブの変更や艦橋の支柱等資料を参考に手を入れた。エッチングの手すりも使用してみた。
この後、沖縄でかなりの数のＷＬを作ろうとは、自分でも予想していなかった。  
まあ先祖は横浜・本牧の船大工だったらしいし、親父の叔父さん（戦死）は、客船のコックさんだったみたいだし、遠からず船には縁があるのかも知れない。

This is my second Water Line Series (WL) model next to the HIKAWA-MARU. First model of the warships.
I already have a Pit Road Japanese Ship Equipment and used it without waver.
I used Model Art magazine and MARU special Mechanism of Japanese 18  Cruisers as  reference.
I modified curve of the bow and adding bridge stay etc. using the above reference. I also used photo etching rails.
it was unpredectable that  I assembled many of the WL model in OKINAWA later.
Well, I  have  related to the ships since my ancestor was shipbuilder in Honmoku,Yokohama and my uncle(KIA) was cook of a passenger boat.
